I would advise anyone interested in reading this book to first find and read a book on the Fast Metabolism Diet as this cookbook only references the diet but does not give specific details on implementing the diet. The recipes would not be difficult to make if you can find all the ingredients. I read a version of this book, and feel that recipes need to have a picture representation of the finished product, which I did not have. (Disclaimer - I received the book for free through Reading Deals, in exchange for an honest review)
This diet cookbook is very easy to read with a lot of easy to make and follow recipes that me myself would love to eat like steak, devilled eggs and more great recipes that sound like there very tasty and delicious unlike other diet cookbooks which are mostly veggies..im a little confused as to are you to follow phases 123? or can you just eat anything in the cookbook any way you want ? some people like me don't know what slice of food for life bread is for strawberry French toast? but I'm still impressed in all the different kinds of food I can have in this diet recipe book and have metabolism while dieting and I'm pretty sure I will not starve on this diet.it is a real must try diet book. I just wish the recipes flowed on the recipes not to the next page .I enjoyed reading this book greatly written with no errors like other ones I've read a great job ..I've received a arc for my honest review Thank You!
Overall, the recipes provided were easy to follow and some sounded as thought they would be very tasty. The drawback to this book is it provides very little information about the 3 phases of speeding up your metabolism. How long one should stay on Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 is not provided. This is simply recipes. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, through Reading Deals, so I could give an honest review.

I was pleased to find recipes in this book that sound tasty, without fancy ingredients or complicated processes. These recipes are unique to the author, rather then being recipes that you can find online. The Pumpkin and Apple Smoothie recipe is one I will make. Ryan's Salad Dressing & Vegetable Dip recipe doesn't use sugar, but does use stevia, which we have on hand. Whether or not you're interested in a book on metabolism, I recommend getting this book for Ryan's recipes. This is an awesome cookbook!.
This little cookbook has some real gems that are simple, tasty and healthy for those of us who have slow metabolisms (or not!). It may not include as much scientific evidence of its recipes metabolism boosting benefits as other more complicated diet books, but I wanted an easy guide to recipes and that's what it is. I especially like the Sweet Potato Salad (recipe 44) for which I had all the ingredients already, and the Sweet Potato Tuna Patties (ditto on ingredients. It uses turkey, tuna -- and even mutton! -- in its recipes, which provide healthy carbs/fiber and veggies that are easy to get at any store. The instructions are clear and simple, and it's just the right go-to guide when I'm wondering what I can make for a healthy and quick dinner or lunch. There's also breakfast recipes, mostly smoothies -- which include mango (yum) and even oatmeal (ground in the blender to flour-consistency), plus almond butter and berry toast. While this may not break new ground, it makes sticking to healthy eating possible. I recommend it for others seeking tasty and simple recipes that aren't full of cheese, carbs or dairy. (FYI -- I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.)
You are wasting your money on this cookbook if you have already purchased Haley Pomeroy’s book The Fast Metabolism Diet. This cookbook copies the exact same recipes that are included in her book.
This is a healthy and effective diet. Most important for me is the fact that it is real food, and easy to stick to for an extended period of time.
